InDesign CS6 Offers Single Page Interactive PDF Export

When Adobe first split InDesign’s PDF export into 2 branches, Print and Interactive, they made the blunder of forcing all facing page documents into spreads when exported via the Interactive option. I wrote an article about this issue previously. This has thankfully been addressed in CS6; we can now export interactive PDFs from facing page documents and have an option to have the PDF set up in pages or spreads.

    Hi Paul

Thanks for the interesting read. I was hoping you can give me a tip. I created an interactive pdf an posted it live of course. I added an email button and when the form opens, it can be filled out and that part works, but the problem is the direct email button once filled in doesnt work when its live, but does when it is saved to harddrive. Is there a way around this that you know of please?

    Thanks in advance.

I’d have to see the form, I think. I have seen cases like this before.

Exactly what happens when it doesn’t work?
The button you refer to is a email submit button, correct? are you using a “mailto:myadress@domain.dom” style of address?
The address might be being mishandled by your computer due to its context (i.e. browser vs. acrobat). Have you tried more than one web browser in your testing?
The issue could be with where the file is hosted. Have you tried putting the file “live” on a different web server to test?
